DR. SATISH CHANDRA

Justice Dr. Satish Chandra is a member of the Credit Rating Committee at Infomerics Ratings.

Dr. Satish Chandra is a LLM (Gold Medalist) and LL.D (Chacellor’s Medalist in Law).  

Dr. Satish Chandra has contributed to all sectors of society be it Academics, Government or Business, both in India and Abroad.

As an Academician, Dr Chandra has worked a  Reader/Lecturer in Law Faculty – Bareilly College, Dunger ( P.G) Law College -Bikaner,  MD University Rohtak  and H.P University Shimla. He has also been a Visiting Professor at  prestigious Government institutes such as LBSNAA – Musoorie, Internal Security Academy – Mt Abu and Indian Institute of Comparative Law – Jaipur. He has also been a Visiting Professor – Institute of State and Law in Moscow and conferred with Fellowship by the Hague Academy of International Law.

He has written a 15 books  and 35 research paper on various aspect of law ranging from Law and Society, Law of Global Village, International Law, Minorities in National and International law, International Conflicts and Peacemaking,  Human Rights, Civil and Political Rights,  Law of Evidence and Impact of Jurisprudence on law among others. He has also supervised Ph.D/LL.D , LL.M thesis and conducted Legal Research Projects funded by UGC and ICSSR.

In Government and Business service , Dr. Chandra has worked as a Director ( Additional Law Officer) – Law Comission of India , Judicial Member – ITAT, Judge – Allahabad High Court, Chairman- Vidhi Sahitya Committee, HPC( BIRAC), and 3rd Pay revision Comission of CPSU, and President -CESTAT.

His Legal Acumen is also repected worldwide, He has worked as a Constitutional Advisor and Judge in the Govt of Zanzibar , Consultant (Honorary) - Constitutional Law Commission of Zambia and First legal Advisor – Sultanat of Oman. 

Dr. Satish Chandra currently serves as a  Review Authority -National Investigation Agency,  Chairman- External Committee for OTS ( State Bank Consortium and Canara Bank) , Member - Settlement Advisory Committee of Canara Bank, Chairman -Ethics Committee All Indian Football federation and  Arbitrator for select Central Public Sector Undertakings, metro, Stock exchanges, NSEDRO,NHAI, BHEL, NTPC, Power Grid, ICA, Airport Authority among others.

He also practises as a Senior Advocate – Supreme Court of India. And, a lifetime member of Supreme Court Bar Association, Indian Law Institute among others.
