Financial Adviser and Independent Director (Jan 2018 – Present)

I advise companies on financial tie-ups and restructuring. I am also empaneled as a consultant with Asian Development Bank (ADB). In addition to this, I serve as an Independent Director to boards of NBFC and large infrastructure company,start ups in India.I am also in Board of a Bank in Nepal and senior advisor to Group of large companies in Nepal.

CEO and MD: IFCI (Dec 2013- Dec 2016)

I was responsible for the growth and development of the business of IFCI (Govt. owned NBFC) whose total assets stood at around Rs.35,000 crore including loans of more than Rs.26,000 crore. The IFCI Group has six subsidiaries/ six step-down subsidiaries and six associates. It is also responsible for running two Educational Institutions: Management Development Institute and Institute of Leadership Development for which I also served as the Chairman of the Board.

I was also the Chairman of the Board of following companies: IFCI Factors Ltd, IFCI Infrastructure Development Ltd, Tourism Finance Corporation of India Ltd, IFCI Financial Services Limited, IFCI Venture Capital Funds Limited and Stock Holding Corporation of India Ltd. Additionally, I was a member of the Governing Body of Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad.

Executive Director: Central Bank of India (Sep 2012- Dec 2013)

I took over as Executive Director of Central Bank of India in November, 2012 and oversaw the portfolios such as Credit, HR, General Administration, IT, Corporate Communications, Publicity, Marketing, Client coverage and New Initiatives. I was also the Chairman of Cent Bank Home Finance Ltd., a subsidiary of Central Bank of India.

From Probationary Officer to General Manager: Indian Bank (Mar 1976 – Sep 2012)

In my 36 years of service at Indian bank I have accrued wide field exposure, having worked in various branches, regions and zones including Assam, Bihar, West Bengal, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat and New Delhi.

I have served as General Manager in charge of the Risk Management Department and the Technology Management Department of Indian Bank at its Corporate Office in Chennai. On a parallel, I have attended various training programs - both internal and external in India and abroad.
